Lady Mikes defeat visiting McGuffey, 11-3
The Lady Mikes tied the Section 3-AA game with two runs in the bottom of the second and the put up nine runs over the next three innings as Carmichaels defeated visiting McGuffey, 11-3, Monday afternoon.
The Lady Mikes remain undefeated, improving to 2-0 in the section and 3-0 overall. The loss was the first game for the Lady Highlanders.
Kylie Sinn went the distance for Carmichaels, allowing three unearned run on six hits with 11 strikeouts and one walk. She also went 2-for-4 with two triples, one RBI and two runs.
Gina Ranieri had a triple and two singles, scored twice and drove in a run for the Lady Mikes. Shelbee McCann went 3-for-4 with an RBI and run scored.
Brin Hunter led McGuffey with a home run and two RBI.
