Lady Maples win in 5 innings, 11-1

Mapletown had only three hits, but the combination of California errors and walks led to an 11-1 win in five innings Wednesday afternoon in Section 2-A softball play.

The Lady Maples improve to 4-1 in the section and 8-1 overall, and play first-place West Greene this afternoon.

California slips to 1-6 in the section and 2-9 overall.

Mekenzie Reda had a two-run double in the first inning for the Lady Maples.

Madi Blaker went the distance for the win, scattering three hits with four strikeouts and one walk.

Makayla Boda took the loss for the Lady Trojans.
