Trojans shut out West Greene, 10-0
The California baseball team kept rolling through Section 2-A with a 10-0 victory in five innings Wednesday afternoon at West Greene.
The Trojans improve to 7-0 in the section and 9-1 overall. The Pioneers go to 4-4 in the section and 7-6 overall.
California’s Brody Conner had the lone extra-base hit of the game, a double.
Connor Vig, Jordan Kearns and Matt Trunzo all had two singles for the Trojans. Vig added two runs, two stolen bases and an RBI.
Jacob Swartz went the distance with five strikeouts and one walk. He allowed singles to losing pitcher Corey Wise and Hunter Hamilton.
