Lady Mikes end season with win
Carmichaels closed out its girls basketball season with a 40-28 win over visiting Bentworth on senior night last Friday.
Although the Lady Mikes fell short of the playoffs, third-year coach Ian McCombs was proud to send off seniors Shelbee McCann, Gina Ranieri and Emily Menhart with a victory.
The rarity is that two of that group 鈥� Ranieri and Menhart 鈥� did not play at all last season, and McCann蘑菇视频 junior year was slowed by an injury.
鈥淎ll three of them are kind of best friends so it蘑菇视频 neat to see them go through this journey together,鈥� McCombs said. 鈥淎ll three of them were off and on playing basketball and they all decided kind of together that they were going to play their senior season. It helped the chemistry of the team because they had great chemistry coming in, great leadership skills.
