McGuffey wins at Waynesburg Central, 41-24
Waynesburg Central led 5-4 after the first quarter Thursday night, but McGuffey pulled ahead at halftime and didn’t slow down for a 41-24 Section 2-AAA victory over the Lady Raiders.
The Lady Highlanders (2-4, 5-8) led 11-9 at halftime and 26-16 after three quarters.
Claire Paige led the Lady Raiders (1-5, 4-8) with 12 points. Jules Fowler added nine points.
McGuffey’s Cassia Darrall shared game-scoring honors with 12 points. Kiera Nicolella finished with 10.Section 2-AAA
