By For The Greene County Messenger 1 min read

The Waynesburg Central-McGuffey Section 1 rifle match came down to a tiebreaker Tuesday afternoon, and the Raiders’ aim was just a little truer for a tight 795-55x-795-48x victory.

The Raiders won by virtue of more “x” scores, 55-48.

Hunter Wasson led the way for Waynesburg with a score of 100-8x. Abby Ozohonish (100-7x), Cameron Cernuska (100-7x), and Colby Simkovic (100-6x) were also perfect for the Raiders.

The Raiders’ Selena Phillips hit center on nine targets for a score of 99-9x. Bryce Bedilion (99-5x), Zach Wilson (99-5x), and Nick Guess (98-8x) rounded out the scoring for Waynesburg.

McGuffey’s Eden Hertig was medalist with a score of 100-9x.
