Raiders edge West Greene on the range
Waynesburg Central edged West Greene for the second time in a week as the Raiders held off the Pioneers for a close 800-58x-796-57x Section 1 victory.
The win secures a playoff berth for Waynesburg with the Raiders improving to 6-0 in the section and 8-0 overall.
West Greene goes to 2-4 in the section.
The Raiders’ Hunter Wasson finished with 100-9x, the first time this season he has not posted a perfect score.
Colby Simkovic shared team scoring honors with 100-9x. Shelby Burkett finished with 100-8x. Abby Ozohonish, Cameron Cernuska and Grace Kalsey all scored 100-7x. Selena Phillips (100-6x) and Nick Guess (100-5x) closed out the scoring.
The Pioneers’ DJ Jones was perfect with a score of 100-10x.
Shey Watson (100-9x), Corey John (100-8x), Courtney Ross (100-4x), Haleigh Thomas (99-8x), Makenzie Thomas (99-6x), Alison Thomas (99-7x), and Zach Frey (99-5x) rounded out the scoring for West Greene.
