Rohanna makes the cut in opening tournament
Rachel Rohanna faltered a bit with two bogeys in the final four holes Friday afternoon, but managed to make the cut in the opening Symetra Tour event of the season. Â
The Waynesburg Central graduate shot 2-over 74 in the second round for a two-round total of 1-over 145. She’s tied in 42nd place.
Allison Emrey holds the lead after two rounds at 9-under 135. The cut line was at 2-over.
Rohanna started on the first hole and 14 straight pars to remain at 1-under for the tournament. She took a bogey-6 on No. 15 to pull to even par, but followed with back-to-back pars.
Rohanna went out with another bogey-6 to play the back in 2-over.
She hit 12-of-14 fairways and 13-of-18 greens in regulation, but needed 32 putts to complete the round.
