Lady Pioneers fall to St. Joseph Academy, 1-0

Both Jade Renner and Maya Jackson held the opposing offenses to only three hits Friday afternoon at the Ripken Experience, but St. Joseph Academy managed to score the lone run for a 1-0 victory over West Greene.

St. Joseph Academy scored its run in the bottom of the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly. The home team attempted to score another runner, but Madison Lampe’s relay throw from Jersey Wise was on time to get the out at the plate.

Madison Lampe had two hits for the Lady Pioneers (0-2), while McKenna Lampe had the other.

Renner struck out three and walked one.

Jackson had 16 strikeouts (of the 21 outs) in the victory.
