Frazier dominated Section 3-AA in volleyball again in 2019 so it shouldn’t be a surprise that the Lady Commodores put three players on the WPIAL Class 2A All-Star team and four on the all-section first team.

Coach Mandy HartmanÄ¢¹½ÊÓƵ first-place squad had seven players on the all-section team altogether.

Waynesburg Central had the only other local player on the all-WPIAL team and six all-section members, including three on the first team.

Frazier senior Skye Eicher, despite missing time with an ankle injury, was dominant when she played and was named to the WPIAL and Section 3-AA first teams.

Eicher is a Saint Francis University recruit.

Lady Commodores senior Logan Hartman and Waynesburg senior Abby Fisher were both named to the WPIAL second team and the section first team.

Frazier senior Sierra Twigg was selected to the WPIAL third team and section first team.

Other members of the section first team were senior Peyton Foringer and junior Emma Robinson of the Lady Raiders, Southmoreland seniors Sarah Pisula and Erika Sherbondy, Beth-Center junior Noel Hunter and Frazier junior Kaelyn Shaporka.

Named all-section second team were senior Gabrielle Alekson and junior Alexis Lovis of the Lady Commodores, senior Bailey Pauley and junior Cayla Rush of Waynesburg, Southmoreland seniors Abby Fullem and Faith Miller, Brownsville senior Kailyn Martin, Charleroi senior Emma Valla and Lady Bulldogs junior Jen Zelenick.

Third team all-section members were senior Sai Waqanivalu, sophomore Emma Seto and freshman Ciara Williams of the Lady Falcons, senior Sarah Hess and junior Alissa Minerd of Beth-Center, Frazier senior Mackenzie Kelly, Lady Cougars junior Faith Martin, Waynesburg junior Riley Bowers and Lady Scotties senior Courtney Myers.

Frazier likely would’ve had an eighth player on the section team in Kathryn Barch, but the senior missed most of the season due to a torn tendon injury, returning just before the playoffs.

Second-place Waynesburg, third-place Southmoreland and fourth-place B-C joined Frazier as WPIAL playoff qualifiers.
