Congratulations to Carmichaels’ Envirothon team

Greene County’s Envirothon’s team from Carmichaels placed sixth in Pennsylvania Envirothon state competition, which was held May 21 and 22 at Camp Mount Luther in Mifflinburg. High school students from 63 counties participated in the competition. The Carmichaels team had the highest score of all teams in the Soils station with a score of 94 and a total score for the competition of 489.7 points. For their sixth place finish, each team member received a $200 scholarship. Team members included: (L-R) front row: Alex Lawrence, Faith Willis, Hayden Yeager, Blake Conard-team assistant coach; (L-R) second row: Kevin Willis-team coach, Allie Miller, Emma Bates. This year marks the 18th year in a row that the county’s team has placed in the top 10 at the state Envirothon. The team placed first in the state in 2018 and 2019.
