Lady Raiders headline all-section team

Southmoreland and Waynesburg Central both had three volleyball players honored on the Section 3-AA first team.

The Lady Scots’ Kaylee Doppelheuer (6-0, Sr., OH), Taylor Doppelheuer (6-0, Jr., MH), and Amarah McCutcheon (5-10, Sr. MH) were recognized with first-team honors.

The Lady Raiders’ Karlee Hogue (5-9, Sr., OH), Keelan Sproat (5-9, Sr., OH), and Gina Tedrow (5-6, Soph., S) received first-team honors.

Charleroi’s Sophia Celaschi (5-10, Sr., Opp) and Kyra Short (5-4, Jr., S/OH) and Yough’s Jillian Korpar (5-4, Sr., RH) and Addison Seanor (5-9, Jr., S/OH) also were named to the first team.

Bentworth’s Jocelyn Babirad (5-2, Sr., S), Charleroi’s Emma Cish (6-0, Sr., MH) and Avery Pendo (5-1, Jr., L), Brownsville’s Skyler Gates (6-3, Soph., MH), Waynesburg Central’s Abbi Kidd (5-6, Sr., OH/DS) and Leila McCollum (5-1, Fr., L), Southmoreland’s Ainsley Martin (5-6, Soph., L) and Riley Puckey (5-8, Jr., S), and Yough’s Autumn Mathews (5-8, Sr., MH) and Alyvia Singer (6-0, Sr., MH) were named to the second team.

Brownsville’s Caylee Balabon (5-4, Sr., OH), Cassidee Settles (5-4, Sr., L) and Mackenzie Wade (5-6, Sr., S), Waynesburg’s Railey Bochna (5-9, Fr., MH) and Chatham Knight (5-4, Fr., S), Yough’s Hailey Bock (5-11, Jr., MH), Bentworth’s Abigail Chester (5-7, Sr., RH) and Haylee Wolfe (5-4, Sr., DS), Beth-Center’s Callie Dorsey (5-7, Jr., S/MH) and Kyleigh McDaniel (5-6, Soph., OH/DS), and Charleroi’s Lauren Leonetti (5-6, Jr., OH) received third-team honors.
