Most serious charge dismissed against Republic woman
The most serious charge filed against a Republic woman who allegedly kicked and pushed a police officer investigating a claim that she tried to use counterfeit money at a Uniontown gas station was dismissed today.
Kimberly Diane Mackey, 40, was charged before Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros with aggravated and simple assault, driving under the influence, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance, public drunkenness and harassment following the alleged incident Feb. 22.
Prosecutors withdrew the aggravated assault charge against Mackey during a preliminary hearing today, and she then waived the remaining charges to Fayette County Court.
