Police capture man wanted in Menallen burglary

A North Union man who police say has been on the lam since September for allegedly burglarizing a Menallen Township home has been captured.

Jay C. Franklin, 27, of 136 Lower Oliver 3, was charged on Sept. 16 with burglary, theft and criminal mischief at Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George Jr.’s office, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

State police Trooper James A. Pierce said police captured Franklin on Nov. 1 and he was subsequently arraigned on the charges before George.
