Uniontown police said they are investigating and charges are pending against a Uniontown teenager after another teen reported being assaulted Tuesday afternoon.

Officer Michael Bittner said the incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. when a 17-year-old girl and Megan Bowlen, 20, of Fairchance, were walking in an alley between Connellsville and Winona streets when a vehicle pulled up and two teen girls jumped out and began to assault the 17-year-old.

Bittner said that the suspects repeatedly punched and kicked the teen before fleeing the area. When the vehicle first pulled up, Bowen told police that the mirror of the vehicle struck her in the shoulder.
