Man shot in Springhill Twp.
State police are investigating a shooting of a New Freeport man who was shot by another man in Greene County.
Police said soon after Jimmy Spencer entered David Riley’s home around 1:50 p.m. Monday at 498 Morford Road in Springhill Township, he began to allegedly threaten and assault Riley.
Riley then allegedly shot Spencer one time, police said.
Spencer was taken for treatment to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.
Police have not released the Spencer’s health status.
According to court records, an arrest warrant has been issued for Spencer, 52, who has been charged with burglary, aggravated assault, retaliation against victim or witness and two counts of simple assault.聽
