Infant injured in ATV accident
An infant was injured Thursday afternoon after his parents were allegedly drinking and fled police on an all-terrain vehicle.
Police said they were called to Pechin’s beer distributor in Dunbar, responding to reports of a man and woman drinking and riding an ATV with a small child.
Police said when the trooper approached, Eric Ritenour, 24, and Krystal Hall, 25, both of Dunbar, fled police with their 1-year-old boy on the ATV.
They allegedly fled through a field, across ditches and small debris. All three people were ejected, according to police. The child was taken to the hospital by helicopter.
