n AARP Smart Driver’s Beginner’s Course, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and Friday, The course is intended to help improve skills while teaching accident and traffic collision avoidance. Family Beginnings Birthing Center nurses teach about pregnancy discomforts, labor and delivery, pain relief options, potential complications, breathing and relaxation, self and infant care, etc. A tour of the center will also be offered. n Survivors of Incest Anonymous meeting, 6:30-8 p.m. every Monday, Mount St. Macrina Retreat Center, Uniontown. The group is a 12-step recovery program for people 18 or older who were sexually abused by a trusted person as a child. Information: peopleofcourage@gmail.com or siawso.org.

The group is designed for patients and caregivers to share, learn and grow with people who can personally relate to the daily challenges and struggles they face dealing with stroke and its after-effects. Events
n Colorectal screening, 1 p.m. April 27, Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center, Monongahela Valley Hospital. Monongahela Valley Hospital will offer a free colorectal cancer education and screening in observance of the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Control Month. Health care professionals will provide information during the education portion of the presentation and MVH staff will explain and provide instructions for the take home colorectal screening kit.
