Man arrested in Ohiopyle stabbing
State police arrested a man Tuesday who they allege stabbed another man in the hand over a keg of beer outside an Ohiopyle bar.
Brody Alexander Aukerman, 25, of Greensburg is charged with aggravated assault and simple assault for allegedly stabbing Scott Donatelli June 12, according to court documents.
Donatelli told police he was leaving Falls City Pub when he saw Aukerman and another man take a keg from the back of his truck and put it in their vehicle. The alleged victim said he and a group of his friends confronted the men, and a fight broke out. He said Aukerman took a fixed blade from his waist band and slashed him in the hand, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
Police said the injury required surgery to repair a broken tendon and stitches.
Aukerman was arraigned Tuesday morning by on-call Magisterial District Judge Richard Kasunic II, who set a $25,000 bail in the case.
Aukerman was freed from prison after bond was posted on his behalf.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 17 before Kasunic.
