n Infant and child CPR class, 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center, Monongahela Valley Hospital. Learn how to help a choking baby or small child including clearing airways and CPR. n Survivors of Incest Anonymous meeting, 6:30-8 p.m. first and third Monday of the month (except for holidays), Mount Macrina Retreat Center, Uniontown. The group is a 12-step recovery program for women and men, age 18 or older, who were sexually abused by a trusted person as a child. Information: peopleofcourage@gmail.com or siawso.org.
n Silver Generation Support Program, 10 a.m. to noon every Wednesday, East End United Community Center. The program is for adults ages 55 and older. Information: 724-437-1660.
n Al-Anon Family Groups, 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Trinity Church basement, Fayette and Morgantown streets, Uniontown, and 7:30 p.m. Fridays, Christian Church, Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville. n Suicide bereavement support group, 1-2:30 p.m. today, Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center, Monongahela Valley Hospital. This group is a four-month program that meets the second and fourth Mondays of each month and is led by a licensed psychologist and is free and open to those touched by suicide. n Stroke support group, 1-2:30 p.m. Thursday, Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center, Monongahela Valley Hospital. The group is designed for patients and caregivers to share, learn and grow with others who understand the daily challenges. Information: 724-258-1455.
n Violent crime parent/family support group, initiated by The Crime Victims’ Center starting in September at the Crime Victims’ Center conference room located at Oliver Square Plaza off of Route 51 in Uniontown. The group is for parents/families who have lost a child due to a violent crime (homicides, DUI crashes and others). Topics will include discussing the grief process, denial, anger, guilt, fear and sharing ideas. The group will include guest speakers discussing the legal/court system, a family therapist to discuss tools to keep the family together and difficulties that may arise between a husband and wife. n American Red Cross blood drive, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, Community Room 1, main lobby, Uniontown Hospital. The drive is open to the public. Appointments are not necessary but can be made by calling 1-800-RED CROSS.
