Suspect in string of pharmacy robberies captured in West Virginia
Police say the man they believe is responsible for a string of pharmacy robberies was captured Wednesday in West Virginia.
Joshua Cain Abel, 29, of Everson allegedly robbed pharmacies in Scottdale, Hopwood, Fairmont, West Virginia and Sutton, West Virginia.
State police believe he is also responsible for a pharmacy robbery and attempted robbery in Carmichaels and attempted robbery in Uniontown, but he has not yet been charged by state police in Waynesburg or Uniontown City Police Department.
Police captured Abel along Interstate 68 in Fairmont, police said.
He is held in West Virginia North Central Regional Jail, according to police.
Abel is facing charges for three robberies in Fayette and Westmoreland counties.
