2 flown to hospital after head-on collision
Two patients were flown to the hospital by helicopter after a head-on collision on Route 119 in Dunbar Township.
Police said driver John Faris, 59, of Connellsville crossed into the opposing lane near Clair Street at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and hit a car driven by Anthony Spearman, 30, of Dunbar.
State police said they gained information about the crash based on witness reports. They do not know what caused Faris to cross over into the other lane.
The state police Forensic Services Unit and Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section assisted in processing the scene.
Morrell, Dunbar and Connellsville fire departments, Fayette EMS and MacHesky Towing assisted at the scene.
