Man allegedly held box cutter to woman’s throat
A Uniontown man is facing aggravated assault and other charges after he allegedly held a box cutter to his girlfriend’s throat at his house Friday.
Ronnie Hiles Jr., 41, told police that there was “no justification for his actions,” according to court documents.
Police said the woman, Anna Norris, had a small cut on her throat. She said Hiles pushed her into a corner during an argument at his house on Berkeley Street.
She said he immediately began apologizing.
She left and he allegedly followed her, which she did not realize until he allegedly started throwing rocks at her in an alley near Tobacco World.
Norris said one rock hit her in the stomach. She told police she began to run, and he grabbed her by the hair.
He lost his balance, and she ran into the business, police said.
A driver said she saw Norris trying to escape in the alley.
He is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and two counts of simple assault. He is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
