Woman assaulted, robbed in Pershing Court

A woman was assaulted and robbed during a home invasion in Pershing Court Saturday morning, according to police.

Arrest warrants were issued for Lance Justin Campbell and Malcolm Jamal Cooper, both 23 and of Uniontown, according to court documents.

Khai Harris told police she was inside the apartment at 130 Pershing Court when the two men “burst through the door,” went upstairs and confronted her.

She reported they were looking for Zelcon Walker and said, “You know what we’re here for,” according to the affidavit of probable cause.

A case was dismissed against Walker last month after the alleged victim refused to testify against him. Nicholas Muha previously told police Walker threatened to put him in the trunk of his vehicle if he did not record a video recanting a statement he made to police, and pay him $10,000.

Cooper and Campbell allegedly threw Harris to the ground and ripped the pocket of her shorts, stealing $600. They allegedly punched her and threw her down the steps.

Police said Harris had lumps and swelling to her forehead and abrasions on her body.

Another witness told police she witnessed the assault and corroborated the story.

Campbell and Cooper are facing identical charges of robbery, burglary, simple assault and theft.
