Man arrested after shots were fired in Uniontown
A man was arrested after Uniontown police responded to a report of six shots fired in the area of Collins Avenue.
Willie James Lancaster, 25, of Uniontown was arrested Wednesday afternoon on weapons and drug charges, according to court documents.
Police officer Jonathan Grabiak wrote in an affidavit of probable cause that a 911 caller reported shots fired at about 1:30 p.m. Officers responded to find a man carrying a bottle of alcohol with the outline of a firearm in his back pocket.
Grabiak took the weapon, which was a Raven Arms .25-caliber pistol, according to the affidavit. The gun held seven rounds of ammunition and had one round in the chamber, he said.
The gun had been reported stolen to state police in Belle Vernon, the affidavit said.
Lancaster was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana and pills, which were sent to the state police crime lab for analysis.
He is charged with firearms not to be carried without a license, receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana.
He was arraigned and lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
