Two women were charged with robbery and assault in Brownsville after they allegedly stole from another woman and beat her.

Danielle Lynn Higinbotham, 23, of Brownsville and Angela Nicole Stanovich, 25, of Republic are both facing four felonies after the alleged attack on Keli Brumley Monday at her Hunter’s Ridge apartment in Redstone Township.

Brumley told police the women came to her apartment, saying Higinbotham left her phone there. Stanovich allegedly maced Brumley and Highinbotham allegedly hit her in the back and arms with a metal pole or pipe, according to the affidavit of probable cause.

Higinbotham allegedly took $100 in cash and tried to steal her TV. Brumley allegedly took the money back from Higinbotham and defended herself by scratching and hitting her.

Police said Brumley had a cut on her back, a scratch on her nose and bruises on her arms.

Higinbotham and Stanovich are both charged with robbery, theft, burglary, simple assault and conspiracy to commit each.

A warrant was issued for Stanovich. Higinbotham was arrested Monday and lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
