Police: Man found dead in Bullskin Twp. had no signs of trauma

State police investigated the death of Todd Neiderhiser, 48, of Acme, who was found dead along Brown Barn Road in Bullskin Township May 16. Todd Hiers, 46, who was allegedly with Neiderhiser that day, was charged with robbery and related charges this week.

The Fayette County CoronerĢƵ office was called out to Brown Barn Road in Bullskin Township on Monday evening, where state police are investigating the death of a male.

State police released the name of the man found dead Monday evening in Bullskin Township, but said they are not investigating the death as a homicide.

Todd Neiderhiser, 48, of Acme was found dead lying along the side of Brown Barn Road, according to police. Police are investigating it as a suspicious death.

“Initial investigation did not detect any outward signs of trauma or injury,” police said in a release.

A witness said he heard shots fired.

They were dispatched for a call of a disturbance, along with EMS, at 6:15 p.m., police said. A Fayette County 911 supervisor said the initial call was for a disturbance on Mount Zion Road.

Police are looking for his vehicle, a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu with Pennsylvania registration JLY 0584.

Anyone with information on the incident or the vehicle is asked to call state police at (724) 439-7111.

An autopsy is scheduled for 2 p.m. today by the Fayette County Coroner.
