Fallen Timbers Community Chapel in Springhill Township is announcing the appointment of the Rev. Richard Saunders as new pastor.
Saunders, who came to the church in September, is an ordained minister through Harvesters Christian Fellowship in Crossville, Tennessee. He graduated from Zion Bible Institute in Barrington, Rhode Island. He received a biblical studies major/ministerial studies minor diploma and the Evangelical Teachers Training Association Standard Teachers Diploma.
Saunders did evangelistic ministry for 10 years after graduating, serving churches in Prattsville and West Davenport, New York as well as Benton, Pennsylvania.
A native of New Jersey, Saunders is excited to serve the community and the church of Jesus Christ.
Fallen Timbers Community Chapel is located at 112 Fallen Timber Road, off Route 119 near Point Marion. The church offers Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 10:45 a.m.
