Brownsville man charged with indecent assault
A Brownsville man was arraigned Thursday for allegedly assaulting a woman when she was asleep at a Luzerne Township residence.
The alleged victim told police Karl David Lutes, 45, had touched her inappropriately multiple times before.
She told police she fell asleep and woke up about three hours later to Lutes touching her inappropriately with her underwear down, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed in his case.
The woman said she jumped up and asked him what he was doing. He allegedly apologized to her, and then told her to relax.
He is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of an unconscious person and two counts each of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault.
Lutes is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
