By The 1 min read

A Charleroi man was charged with assault and resisting arrest following an alleged fight with another man on March 31, North Belle Vernon police said.

Keith Michael Davis, 25, of McKean Avenue was allegedly fighting another man in the 500 block of Broad Avenue when police said they arrived at 3 a.m.

He allegedly didn’t comply with commands to lay down, and force was used to place him under arrest, police said.

He allegedly spat at an officer’s face and tried to head butt and kick an officer, police said, adding that Davis also allegedly damaged a store window.

The other man in the fight suffered an injury to his ear, police said.

Davis was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Charles Christner and committed to the Westmoreland County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
