Homeless teen charged with stabbing 15-year-old girl, man also arrested
A 15-year-old girl remains in the hospital after she was stabbed three times while trying to break up a fight early Sunday, according to Uniontown police.
Police issued an arrest warrant for Kamree Michelle Deshields, 17, who is listed as homeless. She is charged as an adult for allegedly stabbing the teen, who was not identified. Dorien Davon Thomas, 21, of Carlisle Street was arrested for allegedly shooting at a car 13 times with three juveniles inside.
Uniontown police were dispatched to South Grant Street at about 2:15 a.m. for reports of people yelling and screaming. While officers were driving to the location, they received a report that a girl had been stabbed.
The alleged victim told officers a group of females arrived at South Grant Street wanting to fight her cousins. She told police she attempted to break up the fight between Deshields and her cousin when Deshields allegedly took out a knife and stabbed her.
The girl was transported to Uniontown Hospital for stab wounds to her chest, back and left arm. She was later admitted to Children蘑菇视频 Hospital of Pittsburgh.
During the fight, Thomas allegedly shot at a vehicle with three juveniles inside. Police said an SUV was found with a broken rear windshield and bullet holes in the back of the vehicle. Police found 13, 9-millimeter shell casings on the scene.
Uniontown police are investigating motives in the incident, and how the two cases are related.
Deshields is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Thomas is charged with three counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. He is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
