Child hit by car in North Union Township
A 6-year-old girl was flown by medical helicopter after she was hit by a vehicle in North Union Township at about 2 p.m. Thursday.
She was transported to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Her condition was not yet known, but a Fayette 911 supervisor said she was conscious.
The vehicle struck the girl at the intersection of Coolspring and Forbes streets.
State police are investigating.
