19-year-old killed in North Union Twp. shooting
A 19-year-old man is dead and a 16-year-old boy is in custody after a homicide in North Union Township聽at about 1:45 a.m. Thursday.
State police identified the victim as Raji Raven Hickenbottom, 19.
The 16-year-old was not identified.
Hickenbottom and an unidentified person were involved in an altercation at 15 Clark St. when police said the 16-year-old took out a revolver and fired at both people. Hickenbottom was hit in the chest.
He was transported by personal vehicle to Uniontown Hospital, where he died, officials said.
Fayette County 911 said they received no calls associated with the shooting.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office said an autopsy was scheduled for Thursday.
State police said the 16-year-old will be charged as an adult in the shooting.
