Elderly man suffers possible broken hip in McDonald’s fight
An elderly man suffered a possible broken hip after allegedly fighting with another elderly man at McDonald’s in Charleroi, Sunday morning.
Joseph Falbo, 79, of Charleroi was taken to a hospital by ambulance after the fight at about 10 a.m. at 318 McKean Ave. He and Carl Jenkins, 82, of Charleroi were cited for disorderly conduct and harassment. They were both banned from McDonald’s, police said.
Charleroi police said the men were arguing about a house near their residences and who lived there.
A McDonald’s employee called police when she saw the two men fighting and pushing each other. She told police Jenkins knocked Falbo to the ground, climbed on top of him and punched him in the face.
Jenkins claimed Falbo started the fight and he was only defending himself, according to police.
Police said Falbo was bleeding from his nose and mouth, and blood was on the floor. He told police he slipped and fell.
