Boy on bicycle, Jeep collide

A 12-year-old Bentleyville boy riding a bike suffered major injuries after the bicycle he was riding and a Jeep Grand Cherokee collided in an intersection in Fayette County at about 6 p.m. Thursday.

The boy, who state police did not identify, was flown to Children’s Hospital of UPMC of Pittsburgh by medical helicopter.

State police said the Jeep Grand Cherokee was driven by Jennifer M. Taylor, 41, of Fayette City. The accident occurred in the intersection of Jefferson Drive and Lincoln Drive in Jefferson Township.

Taylor was not injured.

State police are investigating.
