The body of a man who was reported missing Wednesday was discovered in a Uniontown creek Thursday afternoon.

Officials identified the man as Matthew Fabian, 41, of Uniontown.

Foul play is not suspected, but an autopsy Friday will make the final determination, according to John Kondrla, a scene specialist with the Fayette County CoronerÄ¢¹½ÊÓƵ office. The man was pronounced dead at 1:40 p.m.

Uniontown police said a passerby on the nearby trail spotted the body in Coal Lick Run.

Police said the manÄ¢¹½ÊÓƵ wife, Elizabeth Little, reported him missing at noon Wednesday. She said the last time she had seen him was at about 3 p.m. Monday when they went to buy groceries at St. Vincent de Paul on North Mount Vernon Avenue. She said a friend gave him a ride from the store.
