According Perry Township fire chief A.J. Boni, a resident of the home escaped without injury, but the home is a total loss. State police are investigating the cause of the fire.

A Perry Township structure fire that displaced a family of four Monday remains under investigation, officials said.

Perry Township fire Chief A.J. Boni said the fire at 113 Barney Road did not appear suspicious. A fire marshal was called to investigate.

“HeĢƵ still digging,” Boni said.

One man was inside the house at about 6:15 p.m. when the fire started. He escaped. No injuries were reported.

Crews from neighboring counties assisted at the scene.
