Connellsville woman charged with throwing item at prison guard

A Connellsville woman who is lodged in Fayette County Prison was charged Friday for allegedly throwing a blood-soaked feminine product at a prison guard.

Leanna Sue Fisch, 24, was in the segregated housing unit Jan. 9 when she allegedly hit the guard in the head with the item, according to court documents.

The guard did not seek treatment in the incident.

Fisch is charged with aggravated harassment by prisoner, a felony. She was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Michael Metros on a $10,000 bond.

She was lodged on a $5,000 bond while awaiting a preliminary hearing for simple assault, according to court documents.
