Elderly woman hit by vehicle in Walmart parking lot
An elderly woman was transported to Uniontown Hospital for injuries she sustained after being struck by a vehicle in Walmart parking lot in South Union Township Wednesday shortly after 3 p.m.
The woman in her eighties was loading groceries into her vehicle when the driver in a white truck was backing out of a parking space and accidentally hit the woman, according to State Police.聽
Pennsylvania State Police, South Union Township Fire Department and Fayette EMS responded to the accident.聽
Charges against the driver are pending, according to state police.
