Warrants were issued for two women who allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old girl while she was making an online phone call in her Washington Township home Saturday.

Kathleen Sethman, 67, and Nikki Lees, 43, both of West Newton, are charged with conspiracy to commit unlawful restraint, endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and simple assault. Sethman is facing an additional count of conspiracy to commit terroristic threats.

The teen’s mother, Kimberly Mays, told police both women were holding her daughter against the wall and one woman choked her. She said she forced herself in between her daughter and the women, according to court documents.

The teen reported both women grabbed her and prevented her from getting away. She told police Sethman choked her, preventing her from breathing. Police said she had red marks on her neck, according to paperwork filed in the case.

She told police the women have assaulted her over several months. The teen “stated she fears for her life after tonight,” police wrote in the affidavit of probable cause filed in the case.

Fayette County Children & Youth Services also conducted an investigation.
