Rev. John Harrold Applause
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Greensburg announces the Rev. John J. Harrold is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood.
Born in Greensburg, his home parish was Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. He attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Christ the King Seminary, East Aurora, New York.
Harrold was ordained to the priesthood May 16, 1992, at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg, by Bishop Anthony G. Bosco.
His pastoral appointments included: parochial vicar, St. Agnes Parish, North Huntingdon, 1992-93, Mother of Sorrows Parish, Murrysville, 1993-96, St. John the Evangelist Parish, Uniontown, 1996-98, and St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish, Indiana (1998-99); pastor, St. Raymond of the Mountains Parish, Donegal, 1999-2007, St. Edward Parish, Herminie, 2007-15, and Christ, Prince of Peace Parish, Ford City, and administrator, St. Lawrence Parish, Cadogan, 2015-present.
His diocesan appointment was chaplain, Harmon House, Mount Pleasant.
Greensburg Bishop Edward C. Malesic celebrated a special Mass for priests celebrating jubilee anniversaries of ordination June 1 at the Bishop Connare Center in Greensburg.
