Route 40 shut down as state police investigate incident
Route 40 between Chalk Hill and Nelson Road in Wharton Township was shut down in both directions while state police investigated and incident that occurred sometime before 7 p.m. Friday. 聽Police had one person in custody however their identity is unknown. 聽Route 40 was closed to motorists shortly after 8 p.m. and traffic was allowed to move shortly by 9 p.m., state police were assisted at the scene by Farmington and Hopwood volunteer fire departments.
