Police: Woman found with 3 bundles of heroin in Uniontown
A Uniontown woman is facing a felony charge after she was allegedly found with three bundles of heroin and other paraphernalia.
A state police trooper conducted a traffic stop on Lydya C. Dennis, 21, who he said was speeding in a car that smelled like marijuana in Pershing Court on Wednesday.
He wrote in the affidavit of probable cause that he found the heroin during a vehicle search, along with five cellphones, 600 empty stamp bags, $2,357 in cash and other paraphernalia. Dennis gave the trooper a gun from the glove box, police said.
Dennis is charged with possession with intent to deliver, intent to deliver drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence.
She was arraigned Wednesday morning before Magisterial District Judge Wendy Dennis and lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $30,000 bond.
