Seven displaced after house fire in Redstone Township
Seven are displaced after their house caught fire Monday morning in Redstone Twp.
Firefighters from several agencies were dispatched to 725 Front Street in Redstone Township at 9:31 a.m. for a working house fire according to Fayette-911.
Republic Volunteer Fire department firefighter Richard Brosky Jr. says when they arrived on scene “the right side of the structure was fully engulfed” and had issues with water due to a broken main water line.
“We had to shuttle in all around the county tankers” for water, says Brosky.
Two adults and 5 children under the age of 15 with the youngest being 7, occupied the house according to Fayette-911. The children were reportedly not home during the time of the fire.
One firefighter was transported by ambulance to Uniontown Hospital for treatment after he fell through the second floor of the structure. His injuries appeared to be non life threatening according to Brosky. No other injuries were reported.
The fire marshall was called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
American Red Cross will be assisting the family confirmed by Fayette-911.
