A Carmichaels woman was charged after police said she was under the influence of multiple drugs when she caused an accident that left a teen driver pinned to the ground by a truck in October.

Cumberland Township Police issued an arrest warrant Monday for Rebecca Ann Robinson, 26, who also uses the surname Lampman.

Police said they arrived on the scene to find a teenage boy pinned to the ground by the Dodge Dakota he had been driving on East Roy Furman Highway near Haliburton at about 9:30 p.m. Oct. 13. He was conscious and said his legs hurt. Police determined through their investigation that Robinson crossed the center line and hit the Dakota, causing it to hit a building and roll onto the teen driver, according to paperwork filed in the case.

Both the teen and Robinson were flown by medical helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. A second teen in the truck was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Both drivers were extricated from their vehicles by fire crews.

The teen told police during an interview at an Adah address that he remembered trying to get out of the way of the oncoming truck.

He suffered a head injury that caused him to lose consciousness, multiple broken bones in both legs and cuts on his face and elbow that required stitches, court documents indicate.

Robinson’s medical records indicated she had a blood-alcohol content of .154 percent on arrival at the hospital, nearly twice the legal limit to drive a vehicle. She also tested positive for benzodiazepines, or psychoactive anti-anxiety drugs, buprenorphine, or opiates used to treat opioid addiction, and Oxycodone, a narcotic pain reliever. Pills were also found in her purse and vehicle. Police said they believe Robinson snorted crushed pills from the floorboard of the vehicle, according to court documents.

She is charged with aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, aggravated assault by vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts each of possession of a controlled substance and recklessly endangering another person and four counts of driving under the influence.
