Connellsville mom wakes to find man sleeping in her recliner
A Connellsville woman and her daughter heard a noise in the night Saturday and awoke to find a stranger sleeping on a recliner in the living room, police said.
Christopher Michael Smith, 21, of Uniontown was charged with criminal trespass and loitering and prowling at nighttime in the case, along with summary citations of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Police said he was intoxicated.
Connellsville police did not release the address of the home or the name of the homeowner. Smith is not a resident and did not know the woman or daughter, police said.
Smith is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
