Several area fire departments responded to a house fire on O’Donnal Road in Mill Run, Fayette County today. The home was a total loss and authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the blaze. No injuries were reported.

A Mill Run home was destroyed by fire Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

Seven fire departments were called to the house in the 300 block of O’Donnal Road at 11:50 a.m.

“We probably had it knocked down in 45 minutes to an hour. It was fully invovled when we arrived on scene,” said Springfield Township Volunteer Fire Department Captain Rich Orndorff.

The fire threatened neighboring buildings, but firefighters extinguished the blaze before they were ignited. No one was home when the fire started, and no injuries were reported.

Officials are working to determine the cause of the blaze.

Fayette EMS also assisted on the scene.
