State police investigate a head-on collision that left an elderly man dead on New Salem Road in Menallen Township Wednesday afternoon.

An elderly man was killed in a head-on collision on New Salem Road in Menallen Township Wednesday afternoon.
A small car collided with a Chevrolet Blazer near Kaider Road at about 1:30 p.m. A portion of the road remains closed while state police investigate.
Officials said the man was in the car with his wife, who was also injured. The extent of her injuries is not yet known.
The identity of the person killed has not been released.
