38-year-old Hopwood man killed in Route 40 collision with semi-truck

A 38-year-old Hopwood man was killed when he hit a semi-truck on Route 40 (National Pike) in Henry Clay Township Monday morning, state police said.

Police said the man was driving west in a Honda Accord near 5253 National Pike at about 8:20 a.m. when he rear-ended a Mack truck driven by a 24-ear-old man. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police did not identify either driver.
