A Connellsville man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a man in an apartment early Sunday and pointed a gun at him.

Neil Gray Jr., 22, of 123 W. Apple St. is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed in his case, Gray had gotten into an argument with the neighbor earlier and walked downstairs with a gun to the apartment. The neighbor was not identified in court paperwork. Gray allegedly punched him in the face several times and pulled a Springfield Armory 9-mm pistol from his waistband, threatening to shoot and kill him while pointing the gun at his head.

Connellsville police said he had a bloody lip and a swollen and bruised eye. Two other people in the apartment reportedly witnessed the incident. The gun was recovered from Gray’s apartment.

Gray was arraigned Sunday morning and placed in the county lockup in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
